Maltilite - Maltitol is obtained by the hydrogenation of maltose syrup. It has a sweetening power close to that of sugar and an excellent taste profile.MALTILITE P200 is a solution of maltilite. It corresponds to Maltitol Liquid (Ph. Eur) and Maltitol Solution (USP-NF). Maltitol is hydrogenated, partly hydrolysed starch, with not less than 68% w/w of solid matter and not more than 85% w/w (mainly a mixture of D-maltitol (≥ 50% w/w), D-sorbitol (8% w/w), and hydrogenated oligo- and polysaccharides, all quoted on an anhydrous basis.MALTILITE P200 is a colourless and odourless, clear viscous and sweet-tasting aqueous liquid. Suitable for use as a suspending, bulking and anti-crystallizing agent in oral liquids and syrups.
